White Water supported the future of national rhythmic gymnastics at the Magic Cup 2021 tournament

Supporting young sporting talent has been one of our most important missions since the founding of White Water. We continued to do so throughout the difficult years of 2020 and 2021—we know that it is precisely during challenging times that young athletes need to feel supported most. Following this belief, we were also a partner of the “Magic Cup” International Rhythmic Gymnastics Tournament, which took place at the Gorna Malina Sports Complex from September 3 to 5. Over 600 competitors from 22 clubs in the country and abroad took part, and White Water provided water for all participants and judges during the competition.

It was an honor for us to present a special award for the most promising ensemble to the winners in the “Junior” category—SC Levski Iliana. We chose to present the award to the winning team in this specific category to encourage the athletes to keep training.

These girls will soon be called up for selection for the Bulgarian national team. We would be delighted to see them at the next Olympics in Paris and cannot wait for them to bring home top honors once again.

The “Magic Cup” is one of the strongest competitions on the Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation’s calendar, and this was its second edition. The tournament is notable for its “Elite” category, featuring Bulgaria’s top competitors. The COVID-19 pandemic prevented it from taking place last year, but it was held now in compliance with all anti-epidemic measures, including a limited number of guests. The competition was a celebration for the young athletes, who had the opportunity to showcase their hard work in front of an audience.

Rhythmic gymnastics is one of the sports that brought immense joy to all Bulgarians during the Tokyo Olympics with the winning of Olympic gold. We believe that athletes should be supported and encouraged to give their best and to grow. White Water will continue to support young athletes on their journey.
